Congress scatters AAP’s broom sticks in Malerkotla, slams govt over Tanda case

Malerkotla - 07 June (Kulwant Singh Mohali)*: District Congress Committee President Biba Nishat Akhtar, Biba Amandeep Khangura, and a large number of Congress workers who gathered from the district staged a protest and strong demonstration against the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab, and scattered broom sticks in front of the local MLA's office. According to the information released, a few days ago the AAP government, upset over a Congress councillor's victory in Tanda, Hoshiarpur, had booked the Congress councillor for 'desecration of the broom' and detained him at the police station. In protest against this, the protest was held and broom sticks were broken and scattered in front of the local MLA's office.  On this occasion, Nishat Akhtar launched strong verbal attacks on the state and central governments over cases registered against Congress leaders under charges like 'desecration of the broom' in Tanda, blind police brutality on linemen demanding jobs in Patiala and service center employees in Sunam, and repeated paper leaks of prestigious exams like NEET. She said that the AAP government, which books Congress leaders by alleging 'desecration of the broom', had its minister and Malerkotla MLA doing legal advocacy day and night for AAP MLA Naresh Yadav who had desecrated the holy Quran in Malerkotla, and kept making every effort to save him.  She said that during the upcoming assembly elections, the people will give a befitting reply to the government that has committed atrocities on the people of the state. Holding the central Modi government responsible for repeated paper leaks of prestigious exams like NEET, she said that this is a huge betrayal of the future of hardworking students who study day and night, and the Union Education Minister should be immediately removed from his post.After this, along with a large number of workers, she reached the local MLA's office and raised strong slogans against the Aam Aadmi Party while breaking and scattering the brooms they were holding in their hands.
